Hand cooling and body temperature, cardio and perceptual responses during cycling in heat.

Maintaining a lower core-body temperature has long been a question for athletes and coaches a like…could it improve performance?  … could it reduce inflammation.  In multiple research papers the indications are that yes, it could help.

The question is what/where and how much to cool ?   …the head, the feet, the face…or the hands.

In this study – the hands are reviewed to evaluate both the cardio response, and also the perceptual response to cooling.
